About The Position

The Sr. Business Analyst (Oracle Fusion Applications – Project and Contracts) will align business units (BU) with the Digital Business Team (DBT) to achieve both BU-specific and enterprise-wide objectives. They will drive AV’s Digital Transformation by collaborating with partners to set strategic directions and act as a BU expert, showcasing digital possibilities. The role involves understanding client requirements, mapping them to Oracle PPM Cloud, Oracle Project-Driven Supply Chain, and Contract Management functions, identifying process improvements, and developing future workflows. Experience in Oracle ERP Cloud, EBS implementation, and Oracle Project-Driven Supply Chain is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Finance is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience of Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion - Project Accounting, Inventory, Supply Chain, Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Revenue, Revenue management, Capital Projects, Contract Management, AR and Financial Applications.
  • Required experience with the business processes in PPM including Sub-ledger Accounting and one other business flow, Order to Cash or Financials or Procure to Pay including sub-ledger applications configurations.
  • Experience with Oracle Project-Driven Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge of financials, supply chain and manufacturing modules as to their impact on accounting transactions.
  • Experience with functional Oracle Financials implementation.
  • Experience working with Average Costing and Project Costing related to financial systems.
  • Knowledge of Quote-to-Order and Order-to-Cash processes
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with business units and ensures every business decision is seen from the lens of our customer.
  • Collaborates with partner business units to reimagine how we can deliver the best processes possible using people, process, data, and technology
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Meet with management, decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations. requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve Enterprise Application systems issues.
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing Enterprise applications.
  • Pursues using Oracle Fusion existing and on-going standard processes to minimize customization yet weighing against AV DOD needs and best practice(s).
  • Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for designated partner business units
  • Attends designated partner BU meetings and shadows Team Members
  • Explains a-day-in-the-life for various roles within partner BU.
  • Gains significant knowledge in subject matters pertaining to both technology and the business
  • Serves as a “trusted advisor” to the BU and functions as a key point of contact for BU & DBT business stakeholders
  • In conjunction with BU leadership establishes and maintains a three-year business and DBT solution road map to improve strategic planning
  • Utilizes business analysis techniques and business cases to define high-level product features and desired service levels for existing and emerging IT offerings
  • Develops a deep knowledge of the business partner’s BU and builds positive relationship development, both horizontally and vertically
  • Identify business requirements and map them to the Oracle Application functionality.
  • Identify functionality gaps and develop solutions to them.
  • Configure the Oracle Applications to meet client requirements and document application set-ups.
  • Defines business requirements for designated business units
  • Create business requirement documents for reports, interfaces, data conversions, and application extensions.
  • Collaborate with project team members developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
  • Define testing scenarios and develop corresponding test scripts.
  • Assist clients in executing test scripts.
  • Develop end-user documentation and training materials.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions.
  • Communicates with business leadership to evaluate joint initiatives and proposals to see how they align with established roadmaps and business and enterprise priorities
  • Demonstrates system (e.g. Oracle Fusion PPM.) capability to solve business problems
  • Anticipates bottlenecks and provides escalation management
  • Analyzes end-to-end, moderate to high complexity business processes in one or more business functional areas
  • Collaborates with peers and project managers to balance BU and enterprise level optimization
  • Transfers knowledge on proposed solution and BU needs to leadership and peers
  • Collaborates with peers on similar workflows/terminology to make sure there is a common process across departments (where applicable) and to ensure technology strategy, down to functional requirements, work(s) well for every aspect of the business
  • Manages enhancement requests post implementation on an established and agreed upon release schedule
  • Monitors reported production issues for opportunities to enhance business technology workflows.
  • Escalates issues to stakeholders when necessary
  • Serves as the business subject matter expert (SME) to assist in the prioritization of technology projects, ensuing projects align with the technology that best provides maximum ROI, and directs BU & IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy
  • Assists in development and overall execution of strategic plans, including leveraging company tracking mechanisms, and creating presentations and reports for the board, executive management, and other groups
  • Other duties as assigned
