Penske is seeking an Enterprise API Management (APIM) Lead who will play a pivotal role in driving API modernization across the enterprise. This position is designed for a passionate leader who will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Center for Enablement (C4E) while overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle governance of the Apigee platform. As the leader of the C4E, the individual will manage the implementation roadmap, create standards for the platform, and serve as an advocate for training and onboarding new business units. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact Penske's data and modernization strategies. The APIM Lead will develop integration standards, establish proper governance, and create implementation patterns. They will advocate for the C4E by establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure its success. The role involves providing guidance for both on-premises and multi-cloud-based digital product implementations, collaborating with various product development teams to define their API implementation approaches. The APIM Lead will oversee and advise multiple business units on their migrations and implementations, acting as the IT owner of the developer portal and the self-service API catalog. In addition, the APIM Lead will design, develop, and deploy Apigee solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of both internal and external customers. They will partner with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams to develop and adhere to standards and best practices, and work with Platform Services and Cloud Engineering teams to implement the infrastructure components of the Apigee platform. The role also includes building and executing API functional and performance test plans, defining and implementing a target-state API toolset to enhance the developer experience across the API lifecycle, and managing the administration, support, and development audit of existing environments. Finally, the APIM Lead will assess and optimize the performance and security of the API platform, along with other duties as assigned.
