About The Position

As an Account Executive at Anthropic, focused primarily on partnering with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, you'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI across VA and its healthcare facilities, regional offices, and service centers. You'll leverage your deep understanding of VA's mission areas—from veteran healthcare and benefits administration to memorial affairs and veteran services—and consultative sales expertise to propel revenue growth while becoming a trusted partner to customers, helping them embed and deploy AI while uncovering its full range of capabilities. In collaboration with GTM, product, and marketing teams, you'll help refine our approach to the VA ecosystem while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience with at least 5 years selling into VA, with a proven track record of driving adoption of emerging technologies
  • Deep understanding of VA's organizational structure, mission areas, and technology modernization priorities
  • Expertise in the VA healthcare ecosystem, including VHA, VBA, NCA, and the VISN structure
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution
  • Experience navigating VA procurement processes, including agency-specific contracting mechanisms
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets in the federal civilian or VA space
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across all levels, from clinicians and technical teams to program managers and senior agency leadership
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including cloud providers, healthcare IT contractors, and system integrators
  • A passion for safe and ethical AI development, with the ability to articulate its importance in veteran healthcare and benefits delivery contexts

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and revenue growth within VA headquarters, VHA, VBA, NCA, and VA Medical Centers, owning the full sales cycle from initial outreach through deployment
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across VA program offices, VISN leadership, and VA Medical Center directors
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with VA priorities and modernization initiatives
  • Coordinate closely with cloud service providers, VA IT organizations, and system integrators to ensure successful deployment and integration
  • Provide detailed market intelligence and customer feedback to product teams to ensure our offerings meet VA and veteran healthcare requirements
  • Take a leadership role in growing our VA presence while maintaining hands-on engagement with key accounts
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure coordinated delivery of commitments and maintain appropriate documentation of customer engagements
