About The Position

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Houston Methodist is actively recruiting for an Otolaryngology Sleep Surgeon to join our Academic department. This individual will help lead the sleep surgery division of our department, help train residents, engage in research, and eventually build a sleep surgery fellowship. Currently, all aspects of sleep surgery are being performed at our institution, including hypoglossal nerve stimulation, DaVinci SP base of tongue resections, hyoid suspensions, expansion UPPPs, and maxillomandibular advancements.

Requirements

• Board-certified or Board eligible in Otolaryngology.
• Credentials in sleep medicine board certification or sleep surgery fellowship preferred.
• Outstanding clinical acumen and surgical skill.
• A record of academic accomplishments.
• Dedication to education.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hypoglossal nerve stimulation procedures.
• Experience with DaVinci SP base of tongue resections.
• Experience with hyoid suspensions and expansion UPPPs.
• Experience with maxillomandibular advancements.

Responsibilities
