Reporting to the Enrollment Supervisor, the Enrollment Specialist is responsible for ensuring all required paperwork and authorizations are received in a timely manner in order to efficiently move care recipients into service. This individual will work directly with the Manager, Enrollment and Assessment Teams in an assigned territory to optimize the customer experience for new families coming into the program. This will include creating efficient processes that relieve the administrative burden of referral partners and decrease the timelines for accessing company services. This individual will drive process improvements in cross functional operations including referral intake, background verification, and securing of initial authorizations. This role will also manage relationships with referral sources and PCP offices to enable efficient communication. In addition, they will oversee administrative efforts in an assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' experience in an office environment, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong project management and/or process improvement skills
  • Strong business acumen with desire to understand end to end business operations
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with data integrity in a regulated environment
  • Working knowledge of case management systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all required documentation is received from care teams to activate consumers into Careforth program(s), reducing time to service activation; includes maintaining documentation timelines for care teams and serving as primary contact for referral-based agencies
  • Support the collection of prior authorization forms from payor sources and case managers, tracking progress and making outreach as needed to expedite the authorization process
  • Foster positive and efficient working relationships with referral agencies and PCP offices to increase communication and referrals
  • Partner with management team and other key stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement opportunities (e.g. background checks, documentation, process workflow)
  • Perform routine audits of records and practices to ensure established timeframes and process/compliance standards are met
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned
