About The Position

In this dedicated partnership support role, the Enrollment Specialist will focus on building relationships with prospective students by understanding their individual goals and guiding them towards programs that best fit their needs. This role is responsible for guiding prospective students through the enrollment lifecycle – from inquiry to enrollment – delivering a high-touch, consultative experience aligned with the university’s mission. The Enrollment Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders across the Strategic Partnerships and Alliances division to ensure a seamless, responsive, and student-centered engagement and enrollment process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional service focused on student success and will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing effective lead outreach and follow-up and assisting in achieving inquiry, enrollment, credit taking, and revenue goals and objectives. This position plays a critical role in advancing the university’s mission by connecting students – especially those affiliated with partner channels – to high-impacted educational opportunities that drive career mobility and organizational growth. Duties and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances, will work with all partnership students identifying, developing, and executing outreach initiatives with the goal of meeting inquiry, application, enrollment, credit taking, and revenue goals as driven by the university’s strategic goals. Assist in preparing presentations, webinars, and content for presenting to students on all available programs, products, and services. Qualify inquiries that are a good fit for Excelsior. Provide unofficial evaluations to qualified students to assist with enrollment conversion. Provide support and guidance to students, as necessary, to assist them through the enrollment process, including application, documentation, verification, and registration requirements. Execute inbound and outbound communications (calls, emails, and texts) as well as meetings to engage and convert all prospective partnership-channel prospects. Build and manage relationships with students and act as a point of contact and advocate. Provide consultative guidance on all products and services to students as a solution to achieving educational and career goals. Deliver a high-quality, student-centered experience reflective of the university’s mission and values. Provide clear, consistent communication with students regarding timelines, expectations, and next steps. Monitor, manage, and track all student activities via Salesforce. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with institutional policies. Represent Excelsior University at internal and external recruiting and engagement events (in-person and virtual), including education fairs, transfer fairs, webinars, and enrollment events, to build prospective student relationships and drive inquiries, applications, enrollments, credit taking, and revenue. Participate in regular training to master offerings, policies, and student services, and apply this knowledge in a way that fosters a transformative experience for students.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college/university
  • At least two years in a related role, such as admissions, enrollment management, sales, or customer success.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a high-energy, fast-paced, metrics driven environment.
  • Ability to master and assimilate a large amount of information about educational and workforce solutions with accuracy and detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with a consultative approach to engagement.
  • Proficient computer literacy and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Experience required using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Self-discipline with proven ability to work independently and with initiative to successfully achieve goals and objectives.
  • Organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and openness to innovation.
  • Willingness to work with multiple, diverse stakeholders across complex organizations and different populations and recognize opportunities for growth.
  • The drive for success in inquiry, enrollment, credit taking, and revenue generation and building successful student pipelines.
  • Ability to excel working fully remote or hybrid in a professional, private, and quiet workspace managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines and goals.
  • Willingness to travel for the purpose of student recruitment.
  • Occasional weekend/evening hours and overnight travel.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in higher education or other learning-related field with adult learners, corporate partners, workforce development or executive education programs.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and SharePoint a plus.
