About The Position

The Enrollment Specialist for Undergraduate Students is responsible for representing Cumberland University to potential undergraduate students and their families, assisting them with enrollment-related inquiries. This role emphasizes building relationships with prospective students and guiding them through the admissions process from initial interest to enrollment. The specialist will engage with high school counselors, community colleges, and various recruitment events, primarily in Central Tennessee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one (1) year work experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Interpersonal skills and computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Completed Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field of study.
• Two (2) years of work experience in a related field.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Represent the University at college fairs and recruiting events for high school students and community college transfers.
• Maintain and enter prospect data into the CRM and student information systems.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with high school and community college representatives.
• Provide counseling to prospective students and their parents regarding academic offerings and financial aid options.
• Conduct follow-up communications with leads and applicants through various mediums.
• Assist applicants through the application process and track their progress for final acceptance.
• Conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families.
• Organize travel schedules to cover assigned territory and responsibilities.
• Participate in special functions for prospective students, such as open house days and orientation.
• Provide regular reports on contacts to prospects and applicants.
