About The Position

Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Program Description: Goddard Riverside Community Center operates two early childhood centers serving working families and their children ages 2 to 5. Each center provides rich classroom experiences designed to foster intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development through hands-on exploration of science, nature, and the arts. Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:30am-6:00pm (hours vary) Salary: $50,000-$52,500 Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Requirements

  • National Family Child Care Credential (or ability to acquire within 6 months)
  • High School Diploma minimum, some college preferred
  • Knowledge of working with children and families through a multi-generational approach
  • Experience providing services to children and families in diverse communities
  • Must pass all funder required background checks
  • To be able to lift at minimum 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, intake and enrollment, eligibility and attendance monitoring
  • Support collection and maintenance health and immunization records
  • Develop and conduct parent workshops
  • Maintain waiting list and classroom rosters
  • Develop an individualized Family Partnership Agreement (IFPA) with each family
  • In collaboration with classroom teams, facilitate monthly class meetings
  • Develop partnerships with outside agencies that can provide assistance to our families
  • Identify resources, initiate referrals and interventions
  • Support center Director in developing transition plans to work with families
  • Support families with the navigating of the CPSE process
  • Vendor Portal- Monthly attendance, inputting children information, uploading documents, checking EDY eligibility, submitting records for approval and discharging students.
  • MYSCHOOLS- maintain waitlist, call parents for intake, accept/decline offer
  • Pro Care- input payment for parents, follow up on balances and reconcile monthly fees with finance
  • CAPSONLNE- submit attendance for HRA/ACS children
  • Submit vouchers (ACS/HRA) for approval through the voucher portal.
  • Submit applications for EDY, to ACS.
  • Other duties as assigned by Cluster Leader of Early Childhood Education
