About The Position

Position Description: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about Waystar and the healthcare payments industry. The ideal candidate will be looking to enhance their career and expand their skill set. This unique experience will provide insight into a dynamic ever-changing and evolving industry, coupled with the opportunity to join a great company like Waystar. As part of this internship experience, you will expand on your professional development skills as well as gain first-hand knowledge of a niche within the healthcare industry. Interns will assist the company with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, learning about the healthcare revenue management cycle, capturing and processing data for our clients, and assisting across teams on various projects. WHAT YOU'LL DO Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Track, follow up and process EDI Enrollment agreements. Communicate efficiently and professionally with both clients and insurance payers via phone, email, and our Support & Training Center. Complete Enrollment admin tasks within the Waystar system Attend meetings and professional development training Fulfill tasks set out by manager from your respective department Perform in-depth research and analysis as needed Adhere to deadlines, assigned metrics, & SLAs Understand and live our values Must be able to work 20-30 hours a week Minimum Requirements: 2nd Semester Junior or Senior 3.2 or above GPA Actively involved on campus and/or community Majors/Minors: Open Interest in healthcare and/or technology Quick learner and self-motivated performer Able to work independently and as part of a team Curiosity to go deeper into the projects given Ability to adapt and pivot with competing priorities and/or deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) WHAT YOU'LL NEED What will you get out of this internship? Gain an understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle and how Waystar fits into it Gain an understanding of the enrollment process and payer requirements specific to linking provider groups to Waystar for electronic transactions. Requirements

  • 2nd Semester Junior or Senior
  • 3.2 or above GPA
  • Actively involved on campus and/or community
  • Majors/Minors: Open
  • Interest in healthcare and/or technology
  • Quick learner and self-motivated performer
