About The Position

The Enrollment Communications Specialist at Spokane Community College (SCC) plays a crucial role in enhancing student outreach, recruitment, and retention through the development of automated email and SMS campaigns. This position works under the supervision of the CRM Manager and collaborates with various departments to create effective communication plans that support the college's mission of providing quality education to a diverse student body.

Requirements

• An associate degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience with an email marketing system or CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Target X).
• Proficient written communication skills for creating content for email campaigns and events.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot process issues with technical systems.
• Experience providing user-centered support to staff using CRM.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency with Salesforce/Target X and report-building.
• Familiarity with community college outreach, admissions, and retention processes.
• Previous experience with student information systems like PeopleSoft or Workday.
• Sensitivity to challenges faced by historically underserved student populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated email and SMS campaigns for student outreach and retention.
• Create enrollment and retention communication plans in collaboration with Student Services teams.
• Provide system user assistance to support effective use of CRM technology.
• Monitor CRM metrics such as reach, opens, clicks, and opt-outs to assess campaign success.
• Build reports and define campaign audiences using the CRM system.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling student data and adhere to regulations such as FERPA.
• Participate in college committees and perform other duties as assigned.
