About The Position
Cognosante is seeking passionate individuals to join our Enrollment Assistance Program (EAP) as Enrollment Assisters-Outreach. This role is pivotal in supporting outreach and enrollment efforts for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO). The Enrollment Assisters will be trained and certified to conduct targeted outreach to consumers affected by Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) terminations during the redetermination process. Our mission is to ensure continuity of coverage for Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) consumers, and the Enrollment Assisters will play a key role in educating these consumers about their eligibility and facilitating their enrollment into qualified health plans. In this position, Enrollment Assisters-Outreach will engage in various educational and enrollment activities, including attending enrollment events and health fairs, both in-person and virtually. They will also provide remote support through outbound and inbound calls, emails, and text messages, as well as setting up appointments for individuals and families. The role requires assisting consumers with all aspects of the enrollment and renewal processes, including profile creation, eligibility determination explanations, plan comparisons, and guiding consumers through the enrollment process. It is essential to ensure compliance with all project-identified, state, and federal regulations, processes, policies, and procedures. The Enrollment Assisters will represent CMS and Cognosante in the local community, maintaining a professional demeanor while providing accurate and timely documentation of their daily activities. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to analyze consumer needs effectively, and the ability to escalate issues when appropriate is crucial. This position operates within a hybrid work structure, combining remote work with attendance at community events and health fairs to reach targeted populations and provide necessary enrollment assistance.
