About The Position
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking passionate Casual Enrolled Nurses to join our teams across a range of clinical departments as we prepare for the opening of this state-of-the-art hospital in early 2026. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare. As a Casual Enrolled Nurse, you will contribute to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care while supporting Registered Nurses and the broader multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes. Working within your specialty area, you will help provide safe, evidence-based care that meets the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients. Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- 12 + months demonstrated experience in an acute healthcare setting relevant to your speciality area
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care aligned with Mater’s Mission and Values
- Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per fortnight
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Perform delegated clinical care activities in accordance with evidence-based practice
- Assist with patient assessments, monitoring and implementation of care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
- Support patient education and health promotion initiatives
- Contribute to a safe clinical environment through infection control and quality improvement practices
