The Fitchburg Public Schools Afterschool Program at South Street Early Learning Center is an afterschool program designed to meet the needs of young learners and their families during out-of-school time. The Enrichment Teacher/Instructor plays a vital role in designing and implementing dynamic goals and objectives for young learners. These objectives revolve around standards-based, project-based activities that enhance both academic and social-emotional skills. With your passion for children and belief in their ability to learn and self-advocate, we will create an afterschool environment that is warm, joyful, playful and cultivates learning about social/emotional and other skills to make their school days more successful. Whether working with individuals or groups, the Teacher/Instructor fosters creativity and engagement, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience for students. Afterschool programming will take place during two 9-10 week sessions with orientation/training before the program start, between the two sessions, and one staff meeting at the end for reflection. This posting is for both certified and non-certified teachers/instructors.
