Enrichment & STEAM Instructor
About The Position
Do you have a passion for inspiring young minds through science, creativity, and hands-on learning? Join the Ocean Community YMCA's Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch as a Part-Time Enrichment & STEAM Instructor! As part of our youth enrichment team, you’ll lead engaging STEAM and social-emotional learning (SEL) activities in a supportive, inclusive environment. We’re looking for energetic individuals with experience working with children and a love for science, arts, or education. This is a part-time role based at our Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch, perfect for educators, youth workers, or college students pursuing education, science, or child development. Requirements
- Experience working with children (STEAM background preferred)
- Enthusiasm for education, creativity, and community-building
- CPR/AED & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate STEAM and SEL activities
- Create a safe, positive, and fun learning environment
- Communicate effectively with participants and staff
- Support the Y’s mission of youth development and community strength
