About The Position

As an ENL Service Provider at Destine Prep, you are a champion for multilingual learners. In this role, you will design and deliver targeted ENL instruction through pull-out and push-in services, grounded in scholar language proficiency levels and academic needs. You’ll partner closely with classroom teachers, interventionists, and school leaders to ensure English Language Learners have full access to rigorous content while developing strong academic language skills. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • Must hold NYS TESOL Certification
  • Experience working with English Language Learners, preferably in a charter or public school setting
  • Strong understanding of pull-out and push-in ENL service models
  • Knowledge of NYS ENL standards and NYSESLAT expectations
  • A belief that multilingual learners can achieve at high levels with the right supports
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Cultural competence and a commitment to equity and inclusion
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a scholar-centered mindset

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted ENL instruction.
  • Provide pull-out and push-in ENL services aligned to NYS ENL standards and scholars’ language proficiency levels.
  • Plan with purpose.
  • Design lessons that explicitly build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while supporting access to grade-level content.
  • Use data to drive decisions.
  • Analyze NYSESLAT data, classroom assessments, and progress monitoring to adjust instruction and groupings based on scholar needs.
  • Collaborate for impact.
  • Partner with general education teachers, Special Education staff, and leadership to plan instruction, align supports, and share strategies.
  • Advocate for multilingual learners.
  • Ensure scholars receive appropriate accommodations and supports in classrooms and on assessments.
  • Build relationships with families.
  • Communicate with families regarding language progress, celebrate growth, and participate in school events such as conferences and family nights.
  • Support compliance and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate ENL records, service logs, and required documentation in alignment with NYS and federal requirements.
  • Grow as a professional.
  • Engage in ongoing coaching, professional development, and collaborative planning to strengthen ENL practices across the school.
