About The Position

production and reproduction of engraved/lasered materials signs and digital printed materials. Operate, maintain rotary and laser engraving machines. Knowledge of computer programs related to engraving systems. Operate and maintain print shop bindery equipment to include, but not limited to, paper cutter, creaser, collator, binding machine, drill/punch, wide format printer, folder and copiers. Organize and maintain a clean work environment. Must be customer friendly and be able to tactfully communicate with people.

  • Experience with hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in one or more graphic design packages such as Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, or similar.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail and analytic problem-solving skills
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Ability to tactfully communicate with people.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a production related environment preferred
  • Two years of experience in a print shop operating and maintaining related equipment and handling other printing operations, or similar education and/or training.
  • Operate engraving machines producing Braille signage with inserted Raster beads along with equipment listed and two years working in job shop environment.
