We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile professional to join our team as a Senior Network Assurance Engineer. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of Nokia RAN to assist internal teams in resolving technical issues related to Nokia RAN products and services. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving network and system problems to ensure high system availability and performance. This team operates 24/7 and requires you to be on call.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Nokia products and services, often involving complex network and system configurations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for Field Engineers, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Maintenance Engineering, Field Engineers) to escalate and resolve complex issues, share knowledge, and improve processes.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, knowledge articles, and best practices for efficient issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot performance, stability, and operational issues related to network elements across various technologies (4G, 5G).
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency support to address critical system outages.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and contribute to preventative measures.
  • Train and mentor other support teams, enhancing their technical expertise and customer service skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Familiarity with the Nokia OAM platforms (NSP, Manta Ray).
  • Experience with Nokia Airscale 4G Architecture, as well as end-to-end call flows.
  • Tier 1/Tier 2 troubleshooting for Nokia Airscale and Flexizone BBUs and all the radios.
  • Review and troubleshoot eNB/cell/radio level alarms and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Review and troubleshoot eNB/cell/Market level KPIs where needed and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Optional - Able to pull L1/L2/callp traces from the Nokia eNB as applicable to root cause issues.
  • SME with Knowledge about end-to-end Nokia RAN Product portfolio and Architecture (Airscale BBUs, Flexizone, Nokia and fALU Radios).
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt to Verizon monitoring tools (xPT, RTT, TrueCall, Irisview) and Nokia Tools (WPS, WebEM, NSP) used to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that are seen on Nokia RAN.
  • Familiar with Verizon 4G and 5G NSA Network end to end Architecture.
  • Knowledgeable in inter-vendor Configurations where Nokia 4G eNB anchors Samsung 5G products.
  • Familiar with Verizon/Nokia GPLs and Key Features on Nokia 4G deployed in Verizon Network.
  • Ability to run Network Audits and run Config changes across Markets if needed.
  • Familiar with Nokia CLI on the Airscale eNBs.
  • Network Standards 3GPP.
  • Ability to monitor KPIs, alarms, messaging, to troubleshooting call processing and performance issues.
