About The Position

Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative AI models by providing human feedback. This remote freelance position offers flexible hours, allowing writers to work at their convenience while contributing to the improvement of AI models through reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text.

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text.

Responsibilities

• Read English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Write and rewrite prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.
