About The Position
Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School is a diocesan secondary school serving 320 students and is located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Founded in 1926, the school enjoys thriving programs and a highly regarded academic reputation, resulting from a qualified and experienced faculty, a supportive parent community, and motivated students - all working in partnership within our culture of care and accountability. MCP English teachers use a variety of techniques in the classroom, and are comfortable integrating technology into the curriculum. MCP uses CANVAS as our virtual classroom, so experience in CANVAS (or other online Learning Management Systems) is a requisite skill. The school expects candidates to have an ability to use differentiated instruction and have a background in curricular and pedagogical innovation. Responsibilities for this position include collaboration and full participation in an English department to ensure excellent scope and sequence, and participation in a professional, Catholic school-wide learning community.
