Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Meet state and school professional teacher education requirements
  • Valid teaching credential, certification, or endorsement (SEI / ELA or related area)
  • Proficiency with instructional technology
  • IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching English Learners and/or English Language Arts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-aligned SEI and ELA instruction that promotes language development and literacy
  • Develop clear lesson objectives and learning targets aligned to student needs
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and resources to support diverse learners
  • Integrate relevant technology to enhance instruction and engagement
  • Differentiate instruction to meet varying language proficiency and academic levels
  • Monitor, assess, and document student learning and language development
  • Provide timely, meaningful feedback to students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress in compliance with school, state, and legal requirements
  • Prepare required reports and documentation
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment
  • Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations and positive behavior systems
  • Provide academic guidance, encouragement, and targeted support to students
  • Participate in Friday student intervention and support activities
  • Collaborate with instructional coaches, mentors, and colleagues to strengthen practice
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
  • Actively participate in SEI instruction, ELA pedagogy, and instructional technology PLC’s
  • Participate in school activities, events, and extracurricular programs as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
