About The Position

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English (ESL) Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client in Boston. Job Information Ref#: 194645 Student: 1 adult (female) who's recently relocated to the US Location: Close to the intersection between Jamaicaway and Bynner St. The student is flexible and will be happy to meet the teacher some place else in the city. Preferred start date: March 2026 Details Schedule: Flexible; to be discussed with the teacher Lesson Frequency: As frequent as possible Lesson Duration: 60 or 120 minutes per session Current language level: C1 Native language: Polish Student's language needs and goals: To overcome speaking barriers and feel confident communicating in everyday situations. The learner wants to easily follow and participate in conversations and develop natural fluency for real-life interactions. Improving conversation skills, verb tense usage, and expanding on more advanced communication vocabulary, and slang. Learning preferences: Prefers lessons with a clear structure and defined stages but not overly rigid. Enjoys practical learning and vocabulary expansion over heavy grammar focus. Likes a mix of conversation and exercises but not game-based learning. Appreciates knowing what to expect in each lesson and tracking progress clearly. Interests: Music, singing, fashion, and animals. Previous language learning experience: Studied languages at school; disliked the heavy grammar focus and preferred learning new words and practicing speaking.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
  • Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience
