About The Position
The Department of English at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) dual enrollment faculty position (#113050) at the rank of Lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach sections of Dual Enrollment English at Rutherford County area high schools as needed to satisfy a full-time teaching workload every year. The sections will be offered as part of the normal high school course schedule. The successful candidate must communicate regularly with the high school administration, the Director of General Education English, and the Department Chair at MTSU to coordinate planned course activities with the high school calendar.
