About The Position

Be the driving force behind student success! Cross Country Education is actively seeking two (2) certified English as a Second Language (ESL) Teachers for a high-impact, full-time opportunity in San Antonio, TX for the 2025-2026 school year. Join a collaborative middle/high school team to blend direct, small-group instruction for emergent bilinguals with vital campus-wide program coordination across two supportive San Antonio locations. Position Overview: Provide targeted, small-group instruction and individualized support to 6th-12th grade Emergent Bilingual students (EBs) in academic English development and core ELAR subject matter. Coordinate the campus ESL program and maintain 100% compliance with Texas regulations, including facilitating required assessments (e.g., TELPAS) and ensuring proper documentation. Serve as a primary resource and collaborator for classroom teachers and the ESL Coordinator on curriculum adaptation, lesson planning, and setting individualized accommodations for EBs. Manage all key program coordination tasks, including student identification, assisting with LPAC meetings, facilitating parent communication, and ensuring accurate progress documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Texas Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Texas Education Agency (TEA) Certification with an ESL Endorsement, covering all grade levels (6-12)
  • Candidates with only a TEFL/adult education Certificates will not be considered
  • Valid Texas Content Area/Generalist Certification for grades 6-12

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience teaching within a K-12 setting (Preferred)
