The Interpreter plays a crucial role in assisting with various BHI tasks, including front desk check-in, managing appointments, and addressing case management needs. This position serves as a translator between Spanish-speaking consumers and clinicians, ensuring effective communication and understanding. Additionally, the interpreter is responsible for transporting uninsured, Spanish-speaking consumers to HCCH appointments as needed and available. The role also involves assisting clinicians and staff in providing culturally informed care by discussing cultural norms, experiences, and expectations of the local Latino population. Other responsibilities may include patient health education, related documentation, representing HCCH at community events, outreach, networking with community leaders, and performing additional duties as determined by supervising and leadership staff.
