About The Position

The English Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to grow our adjunct pool. Candidates may be needed to teach in one or more of the following courses: Basic Composition, Composition, Research and Composition, and Literature and Composition. There is also a possibility that adjuncts may be needed to teach other courses for the Department including Technical and Professional Writing as well as creative writing and/or specialty literature courses.

Requirements

• Master's degree in an English-related field (English, Composition and Rhetoric, Literary Studies, etc.) preferred, however candidates with a bachelor's degree and relevant teaching/tutoring experience will be considered.
• Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
