Engineers, Software located in Frisco, TX will create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture and assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AZURE technologies.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders including the executive, product, data, and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Requirements

  • Writing complex SQL language on variety of relational database systems, including Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL server.
  • Designing and building data sets, data marts, data warehouses both traditional on-premises and on cloud DB platform to store data needed by business operation teams and business modeling teams.
  • Developing data ingestion/data manipulation/data extraction programs and applications using programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, JavaScript, etc. to support business needs.
  • Understanding and practicing Agile methodologies in software development life cycle and using tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Gits as part of the practices.
  • Performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and process to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leveraging cloud technology with Azure and utilizing services with Azure Databrick, ADLS, and Azure Data Factory to build data pipeline and store data in data mart/data warehouse to support business operations such as reporting and analytic works.
