About The Position
As the Vice President of Digital Banking & Payments at American Express, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Digital Banking and Payments team, which is responsible for the Card Payments Processing and Digital Bank products. This position involves building innovative technology frameworks that enhance developer productivity while maintaining high-quality standards at an enterprise scale. You will oversee the development of platforms that facilitate ACH, Wire, Bill Pay, Zelle, Debit, Checking, and Savings applications, enabling teams to create products efficiently and deliver compelling experiences through digital channels. Your leadership will be crucial in envisioning and designing a next-generation system architecture that supports world-class digital products for banking and payments. You will focus on scalability, resiliency, and reusable patterns, ensuring that the systems you build can handle high performance and reliability. Your expertise in payment schemes, reliable data exchange, and transaction processing will be essential as you guide your team through the software development lifecycle, collaborating with various stakeholders to align on common goals.
