Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Technical school or related experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with modern test methods and equipment
  • Knowledge of machine tools, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools
  • Operational knowledge of machines, mechanisms, hydraulic, and control systems preferred
  • Construction equipment operating experience is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and sketches
  • Intermediate PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
  • You enjoy diagnosing problems and finding practical solutions
  • You’re organized and understand the importance of documentation
  • You’re comfortable working independently but thrive in a team environment
  • You believe in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
  • You’re always learning and staying current with technology

Responsibilities

  • Test equipment to meet required performance parameters
  • Troubleshoot and repair test equipment to deliver quality customer service
  • Build prototype units or modify equipment to improve performance
  • Procure components needed for prototype builds or upgrades
  • Maintain operational knowledge of machines and department processes
  • Document all testing and customer correspondence
  • Provide technical assistance and training (internally and externally)
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement efforts
  • Back up PC files weekly and stay current with software updates
  • Support OSHA and environmental compliance initiatives
  • Promote a friendly, service-oriented approach across teams and customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned (because no two days are ever the same!)
