We are searching for an Electrical (ECAD) Engineering Technologist to join our Mechanical and Electrical Design and Drafting (MEDD) team at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. ARL’s purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC). The MEDD Service Center works in collaboration with the ARL Research Offices to create CAD based Mechanical & Electrical Designs including drawing compliance and design Configuration Management support. You will: Facilitate electrical (ECAD) design support through collaboration with R&D Engineers and Engineering Support Specialists Lead the creation of schematics, printed wiring boards, circuit card assemblies, bills of materials, and other documentation using accepted methods and techniques Utilize ARL’s Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (Teamcenter) to properly archive and perform configuration management of all design documentation Facilitate work intake, estimation, and execution; reporting to senior management as requested Participate in, and occasionally lead meetings and design reviews Maintain all required compliance training related to business systems, safety, and security
