About The Position

The Engineering Technologist II position is the second level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification. This role applies technical expertise to solve more complex problems and utilizes management skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, operating with general supervision. Employees in this position are expected to develop deeper technical skills and an increasing degree of independence in their work.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience
2+ years of experience with Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
4+ years of equivalent experience without a degree

Nice To Haves

Good written and oral communication skills.
Utility industry experience, preferably in power distribution
External customer facing experience, preferably in the construction/utility industry
Experience communicating up the leadership chain
Understanding of basic principles of project management.

Responsibilities

Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches with some guidance.
Conducts engineering and related studies.
