  • Prepare plans, specifications, and engineering calculations for civil construction projects.
  • Provide technical support to field personnel and engineers during project construction.
  • Represent Santee Cooper in the field on various construction projects, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
  • Perform inspection of dams and dikes, including reading monitoring equipment and preparing survey requests.
  • Utilize drones for data collection and processing, and produce maps using ArcGIS.
  • Conduct technical calculations related to site design, drainage design, and structure design.
  • Create engineering and construction plans and specifications for projects.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, bid packages, and material orders for construction projects.
  • Act as project lead, managing design activities and coordinating with internal and external customers.
  • Serve as survey lead for construction projects and perform bathymetric surveys.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Provide oversight of maintenance and contractor crews regarding dam and dike work.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (1 year for Bachelor's, 3 years for Associate's, 5 years for High School diploma).
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in soil and concrete testing, surveying, and construction inspection.
  • Ability to perform technical calculations and engineering computations.
  • Experience with drone operation and data processing using Pix4D.
  • Knowledge of emergency action planning services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and environmental compliance in construction.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.96 to $32.40.
