About The Position

Milton Manufacturing is seeking a skilled, hands-on Engineering Technician to support product development, testing, and continuous improvement efforts across our manufacturing operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring projects and prototypes are executed accurately, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to bring technical requirements to life, splitting your time between the shop floor and the office. If you enjoy building, testing, troubleshooting, and refining real-world products, this role puts you right at the center of innovation.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Hands-on experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferredEquivalent technical experience will be considered
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering support, or technical role required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) preferred
  • Ability to fabricate and modify components or prototypes based on testing and customer feedback
  • PLC and instrumentation knowledge or experience is a plus
  • Experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or stamping environments is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with project execution, including technical documentation, drawings, and change requests
  • Assemble components, fixtures, and prototypes according to engineering specifications
  • Conduct testing, collect data, and prepare reports to support engineering and quality initiatives
  • Troubleshoot product systems and resolve technical or process-related issues
  • Support the implementation of new equipment and technology, including setup, calibration, and validation
  • Maintain accurate records for test results, measurements, design changes, and project updates
  • Update work instructions, CAD files, and process documentation as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
