Job Summary The Engineering Technician is responsible for creating all files and documents required to release jobs to manufacturing and ensure all potential modifications to product requirements or processes are implemented in documents. The Engineering Technician will also focus on the following: Assists the engineering planning function to create new item masters Assist the engineering planning function to create new configuration management system (IM, BOM, travelers, drawings,…) Assist the engineering planning function to update/maintain/revise configuration management system (IM, BOM, travelers, drawings,…) based on customer revisions of clauses Implement approved ECO modifications Plan job travellers based on job release, customer purchasing order, drawings, data files and planned delivery dates Inform production manager about special material reuirements abd quick turn jobs scheduling Generate job material requirement slip, and verify with shear clerck material availability Release/log jobs on production status board File paper copy of completed travelers and documents in engineering filing cabinets
