About The Position

Assists the Director of Engineering with the maintenance of the entire facilities operation. Assists in maintaining Clubhouse facilities and equipment by maintaining a proactive maintenance approach, responding to emergencies and supporting the building's operational needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of building systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • General knowledge of power tools.
  • Lock repair and replacement.
  • General maintenance knowledge across multiple disciplines allowing technicians to handle diverse tasks without needing to call in specialists for minor issues.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals and age ranges.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a highly fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Ability to identify issues and find effective solutions for building systems, machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.

  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in electrical engineering, HVAC, or refrigeration.
  • One year maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting.
  • Prior Successful employment with the Stock Farm Club in this or a related position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, ventilation systems and building structures of the Club.
  • Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance of the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Maintains the ovens, refrigerators, ice makers, HVAC units and pool pumps.
  • Supervises the filtration and chlorination of swimming pool, tests swimming pool water; and maintains daily log of water test results for local health department inspections.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by Club’s PM procedures.
  • Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs and patches walls.
  • Provides support for events and special functions.
  • Assists with setting up event spaces including moving furniture and AV equipment.
  • Repairs small motors.
  • Replaces filters, light bulbs and other consumables as part of routine maintenance.
  • Attends departmental staff meetings.
  • Reports on the condition of building systems including any identified issues or needs for future repair.
  • Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Engineering.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
