About The Position

DRiV JOB TITLE: Engineering Technician DUTIES: 70% Setup, run, and monitor test equipment and record test results. Generate test reports for Engineers. 20% Coordinate and prioritize workflow through the test lab. 5% Develop fixtures / layouts necessary for testing and procure through internal machine shop or external supplier. 5% Participate in 5S program and maintain cleanliness in work area

Requirements

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and basic electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive steering and suspension systems.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools like calipers and micrometers and read dial indicators
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to understand concepts and problem solve on your own.
  • Knowledge ISO quality systems.
  • Trade / technical school certifications or associate’s degree in discipline relevant to position.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-5 years’ experience working in lab testing environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair of steering and suspension systems.
  • Working knowledge of MTS test equipment, or similar testing equipment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to work and communicate with engineers and management, capacity to manage diverse workloads from multiple sources, keen sense to meet commitments and maintain professional demeanor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in discipline relevant to position.
