AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. This is a hands-on engineering support position that performs the full range of technician and para-engineering duties that applies engineering technology and systems engineering concepts to support specialized technical tasks at the Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). The position is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of the NASA Flight Loads Laboratory test network architecture and data acquisition and display systems, including both hardware and software. The position also requires demonstrated ability to support the development of data acquisition plans for testing activities, including defining hardware and software specifications to ensure proper interfacing between the data acquisition system and the system under test. Excellent computer skills are required. This role demands the ability to work and lead effectively in a dynamic, multi-task environment by prioritizing work, coordinating task and project schedules, and managing and decomposing technical requirements across multiple focus areas. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential.
