The Engineering Technician supports a wide range of aerial fiber attachment projects by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and project performance. Duties and Responsibilities: Collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of information from various internal and external sources with attention to detail and accuracy Perform data extraction, validation, and manipulation to ensure accurate study inputs Assist engineers in conducting studies utilizing Excel, industry modeling software, and other tools Develop and optimize data processing tools, macros, or scripts to streamline data analysis workflows Work with large databases using tools such as Access, SQL, and Excel Support the preparation of presentations and technical documents for clients based on study findings Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and recommend best practices for data-driven decision-making Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by conducting regular audits, validation checks, and troubleshooting data-related issues Modeling distribution utility poles to support our engineering team Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, is preferred 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, engineering, construction, or consulting environment, is preferred but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and driven to complete work with minimal supervision Initiative to look for new challenges and opportunities Organized and detailed oriented Ability to learn quickly from reading and oral instructions Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
