About The Position

Performing basic repair and maintenance operations on equipment, ensuring functionality and adherence to standards Conducting test procedures and collects observational data for analytical use Preparing and organizing technical data for presentations or documentation purposes Assisting senior technicians and engineers in performing evaluations or system tests, including preparing basic test setups and tools Maintaining operational logs and records to ensure accurate tracking of work performed and components used FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING #LI-TF1

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in an engineering technician role
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to perform intermediate-level engineering tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and testing of mechanical and electronic systems in accordance with DoD specifications
  • Proficient in using advanced diagnostic tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to identify and resolve system malfunctions
  • Skilled in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system troubleshooting and repair
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Experience with tools and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Strong organizational abilities for tracking and documenting engineering data reports
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for resolving minor equipment and instrumentation issues
  • Relevant military experience
