Teledyne is looking for an Engineering Technician to support engineering teams in the design, testing, and assembly of prototype systems and specialized test equipment. This hands-on role involves working with analog, digital, and video circuits, applying engineering principles to ensure performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electronics or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electronic theory, circuitry, and testing equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 standards.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of design, analysis, or ERP software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with layout, design, and troubleshooting of electronic units.
  • Conduct functional, environmental, and life-cycle tests on prototypes and production models.
  • Analyze test data and adjust/calibrate components to optimize performance.
  • Assemble and maintain electronic systems using schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide technical support and user education for new and existing equipment.
  • Maintain documentation and system logs as required.
