About The Position

The Engineering Technician will aid the Product Development team by working with physical products in the testing lab. Daily tasks include disassembling products and running test procedures and assisting the engineering team with fabrication. The ideal candidate is organized with multiple projects, thorough in detail-oriented tasks, and possesses a friendly personality.

Requirements

Technical School Degree or Associates required, Bachelors degree in Engineering a plus
Ability to use basic power tools
Ability to do basic prototyping
Prior experience with building and disassembling small products
CAD not required, but prior experience is a plus
Microsoft Office proficient
Onsite role.
No sponsorships or visa holders.
No Corp-to-Corp.

Responsibilities

Work with Engineering team to help with fabrication and test setups.
Disassembling competitors products for technical evaluation
Work with Systems programmers to develop new product systems parameters and evaluation of system functionalities.
Evaluating client products with test procedures after disassembly
Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
Organizing and storing samples
Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
