The Engineering Technician supports engineering and manufacturing teams by assisting with day-to-day technical tasks, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts. This role works closely with cross-functional departments to help meet production goals, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a related field (or equivalent hands-on training/experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment (internships or co-ops acceptable).
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo preferred.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and use of standard tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with reading technical drawings, work instructions, and basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., medical device, automotive, aerospace) or quality standards such as ISO 13485 is a plus.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Assist cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, purchasing, customer service, and quality) in meeting production and company objectives.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including setup, documentation, and basic process verification.
  • Develop and refine operational drawings, overlays, and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in building, maintaining, and improving simple tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing and testing.
  • Support review of non-conforming materials (NCMR) by gathering data, documenting issues, and assisting with disposition activities.
  • Manage and execute engineering change notices (ECNs) with precision and attention to detail.
