About The Position

As an Engineering Technician you will be independently responsible for providing technical support and coverage for the equipment within Stryker Medical Plant. Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day production and project execution as it relates to process development, equipment downtime, process improvements and equipment commissioning, as well as the following: Partner with engineering and operations teams to recommend, specify, and implement equipment upgrades, replacements, and new purchases. Document project outcomes with detailed analysis of improvements and opportunities, communicating findings to team leaders and team members. Document safety issues and actively lead 6S initiatives within the immediate area and plant-wide production floor. Collaborate with vendors on tooling and process improvements for both existing and new applications. Specify tooling for new and existing processes, working with MPLs to manage orders and sustainment. Serve as liaison between operations, engineering, and advanced operations to design and plan implementation of new technology on the production floor. Train employees in assembly processes and inspect/test results and applicants as needed. Support daily production through technical troubleshooting, problem solving, and equipment/tooling guidance (including PLC‑controlled custom equipment), and assist with validation activities such as equipment qualifications, process validations, periodic reviews, and PPAPs.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of related medical manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years Manufacturing Experience, process development experience
  • Exposure and understanding of statistical techniques and Minitab
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of assembly processes, SQL
