What You Will Be Doing The Engineering Technician will work as a member of the engineering group supporting product development. This role requires a background in engineering, the ability to work well in a team, and strong problem-solving skills What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

Requirements

  • High school diploma and possibly an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate equipment in the machine shop
  • Soldering and rework experience with through-hole, SMT components, and connectors
  • Familiar with lab equipment, including multimeters, power supply, data logger, temperature chambers, etc.
  • Electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Computer / Windows skills are a must
  • High voltage and high current experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits solid customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibits familiarity with proper lab safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Build electro-mechanical fixtures necessary for test and development of AC and DC chargers
  • Rework and assemble Printed Circuit Boards and help troubleshoot
  • Upload the software to various boards following the instructions
  • Build high-voltage and low-voltage Cable harnesses and rework them as required
  • Organize and catalog electrical and mechanical components
  • Hands-on experience with electrical product assembly and prototype work
  • Engineering lab experience working closely with design engineers
  • Facility/lab organization skills
