About The Position

As an Engineering Technician at Tesla, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing assembly processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in our fast-paced Body shop.  You will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for innovation and sustainability. Responsibilities

  • Programming and commissioning of KUKA (KRL/Workvisual) and FANUC (TP/Roboguide) robots in Body in White lines
  • Adjustment of robot paths, tools, bases, and reference frames
  • Setup and validation of robot safety features including DCS, SafeOperation, and other safety systems
  • Configuration and optimization of gluing, bolting, riveting, and material handling sequences
  • Integration of signals with PLCs and validation of robot-to-peripheral communication
  • Configuration and integration of vision systems (Mech-Mind, iRVision, Perceptron, Coherix)
  • Troubleshooting, backups, documentation, and coordination with process, controls, and maintenance teams
