Over the course of this twelve-week paid internship based at the Broomfield, CO site, you will gain a firm grasp of our core engineering competencies and a holistic view of our technology-driven solutions that serve our wide range of customers. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an associate's, or bachelor's degree program at an accredited institution in Engineering/Engineering technology or related field.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round).
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Broomfield, CO. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Strong interest in working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year degree in engineering technology, electrical engineering technology or a related field.
  • Previous Electrical experience

Responsibilities

  • Create Wiring Tables: Develop wiring tables from engineering schematics to ensure accurate and efficient electrical connections.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) Events: Engage in CI events to identify opportunities for cost and cycle time reduction.
  • Execute CI Actions: Implement actions from CI events to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work Instruction Creation: Develop clear and concise work instructions to guide manufacturing operations.
  • Time Study Completions: Conduct time studies to analyze and improve production processes.
