Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Engineering Technician - Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team in Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: The Engineering Technician performs hands on activities/tasks associated with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal protection systems application, assembly, and check-out operations. Knowledge of coating removal, critical coating application, and pneumatic tooling operations is also desired. Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost, and scheduling of their team. Candidate must be well organized and able to follow and execute computer-based shop assembly instructions. This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • No clearance required to start
  • General understanding of electronic work instruction systems (MAXIMO, Solumina).
  • Proficiency with hands-on mechanical assembly, thermal protection material application, protective finish removal processes and paint application of metal structures.
  • Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.
  • Proficient with manual and power tools.
  • Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
