About The Position

Engineering Technician V This is a waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization position, working within shipyards and drydocks onboard U.S. Naval ships. The incumbent will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks: 1, Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices. 2, Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in order to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems. 3, Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment. 4, Modifies circuitry to improve performance. 5, Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems. 6, Provides operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel. 7, Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation. 8, Works with engineering staff to determine and solve equipment design problems. 9, Performs quality assurance testing of assemblies and equipment fabricated by other technicians. 10, Provides work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have supervisory responsibility. 11, Participates in special projects, as required. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: ● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science. ● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience. ● Security Clearance Level: None. ● Location: Customer Site. ● US Citizenship Required. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $34.35 - $46.47. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Requirements

  • Associates of Arts/Associates of Science.
