About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician V to perform moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks, including cable routing and metal work installations, while providing technical support for C5ISR systems. The role involves reading and interpreting integration documentation and ensuring all physical demands of the job are met in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering technology or formal electronics training from a Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or four year electronics apprentice program and three (3) years of experience; or High School and eight (8) years of experience.
• At least (4) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of C5ISR systems, subsystems, and equipment.
• Experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/interface equipment, VME based systems, digital switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
• Ability to walk distances of at least one-half mile daily and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, standing, or squatting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks including cable routing and metal work installations.
• Provide technical support to integrate, install, modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems.
• Assist in related support areas such as kitting and warehouse operations.
• Read and follow integration documentation, schematics, rough sketches, drawings, and diagrams.
• Safely complete all physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment.
