This position involves collaborating closely with engineers to validate body controllers for the Semi program through a combination of mechanical, electrical, and software/firmware testing. The technician will be responsible for designing, building, and dismantling static fixtures made from T-Slotted aluminum, as well as solid aluminum or magnesium. Additionally, the role requires modifying and debugging software scripts for controller validation and designing, building, debugging, reworking, and dismantling complex electrical server rack testers. In this role, the technician will utilize their soldering experience related to reworking PCBA boards and custom harness building experience for constructing signal and power cables ranging from 22 gauge to 0 gauge. The ability to manage multiple test priorities and communicate proactively is essential. The technician will also perform environmental stress screening (ESS) to identify potential failure modes and conduct highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and highly accelerated stress screening (HASS) to assess product robustness. Operating and maintaining environmental chambers for thermal, humidity, and vibration testing will be part of the responsibilities, along with analyzing test data to identify trends that predict potential failures.
