In this role, you’ll support product development, prototyping, and testing—bringing ideas to life while ensuring functionality, durability, and performance.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or Certification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, product development, or engineering support role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience with prototype fabrication, machining, or mechanical assembly.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing for marine and powersports applications.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and data collection tools.
  • Detail-Oriented & Analytical – You can identify design flaws, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Hands-On & Practical – You enjoy working in a shop or lab setting, assembling and testing real products.
  • Strong Communicator & Team Player – You collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and production teams.
  • Time Management Pro – You can prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Engineers in Design & Development – Support the creation of new and improved products, from concept to production.
  • Build & Test Prototypes – Work with fabrication tools, CAD models, and engineering drawings to construct and evaluate prototypes.
  • Conduct Product Testing – Perform tests on materials, components, and full-scale products to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Analyze & Troubleshoot Issues – Work closely with the engineering team to identify potential design flaws and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams – Communicate with manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers to optimize production efficiency.
  • Operate Machinery & Equipment – Use hand tools, measurement devices, CNC machines, and testing equipment to support product validation.
  • Document & Report Findings – Maintain detailed test results, modifications, and recommendations for product improvement.
  • Ensure Compliance & Safety – Follow industry best practices to maintain high-quality, safe, and reliable products.
